Stay Woke!!

Hey there, good people!

It’s been a while since my last post, but here we are!

Let’s be real—creating content isn’t always easy. But today, I want to talk about progress, because that’s what I’m all about lately: moving forward.

For my birthday this year, I decided to make a real change. I’ve always lived by the “you only live once” mindset, which meant indulging in a lot of junk food with the excuse of, “If I can afford it, why not?”

But let me tell you, there’s nothing quite like the joy of walking out of a fast-food place with a box of pizza. It feels great in the moment, but a few months down the line, when you catch a glimpse of yourself in the mirror, that joy quickly fades. Especially if, like me, you have a body that holds onto every bite. The truth is simple: garbage in, garbage out.

I love my full-length mirror, and seeing an image that didn’t reflect how I wanted to feel hit me hard. So, one day I just woke up, had enough, and marched straight to the gym next door to sign up. Mind you, it was mid-month, and my budget was tight, but I was done making excuses. I needed to do something for myself and my well-being.

I did it for me—not for society, not for anyone else. It’s been 4 weeks, and I already feel so much better. I’m lighter, happier, more focused, and overall just more positive. There’s something about working out that does wonders for your mood. Plus, I’m now more aware of what I eat, making healthier choices because I understand my nutrition and calorie intake better.

Lessons learned:

  1. When you decide to make a change, don’t overthink it—just get up and go for it.
  2. If you’re happy with how you look, own it. Change isn’t necessary unless it’s what you want.
  3. Don’t let anyone dictate how you should look. Embrace your flaws and be proud of who you are!

Maybe in a few more weeks, I’ll be confident enough to share my before and after pics for some motivation. Until then, I’m sticking to this journey for me.

Until next time, adios lovelies!
